Romania
Dates the length of the country, from rooftop terraces in Bucharest to conace and countryside venues hours out of town, with the lineup sized to the room.

The essentials
Romania is one of the busiest regions on Olivia’s calendar, and bookings here cover the full range: weddings, christenings, private parties, and corporate evenings in hotels, restaurants and event spaces from Bucharest outward. A booking always starts with the basics, the date, the venue and the kind of event, and our booking team uses that to shape a proposal rather than pointing to a fixed price list. Because every venue and guest list is different, the format, timing and repertoire are worked out together before anything is confirmed.
Whatever the size of the booking, Olivia performs with the same group of musicians rather than a rotating cast assembled locally for each date. That matters most for bookings outside the immediate area: if the venue needs an overnight stay for the musicians, the client covers accommodation and any travel costs for the booked lineup, and this is stated clearly in the proposal so there are no surprises once the date is set. Everything else, sound needs, set breaks, timing around a ceremony or a speech, is worked out in the same conversation.
A solo booking, voice and piano, works well for a ceremony, a smaller family gathering, or background music through a cocktail hour. A duo or trio adds a fuller sound for a longer reception or an outdoor setting, and a full band is the natural choice for an evening built around dancing. Corporate bookings tend to favour a duo or trio for a dinner or a networking reception, with the option to add sound and lighting as a simple tick box on the enquiry form rather than a separate service to chase down. None of these formats are fixed in stone before the conversation happens, they’re a starting point for discussing what the room and the guest list actually need.
Sets are built across Romanian and English, moving between the two within the same evening when that suits the crowd. Romanian folk-inspired pieces and well-loved Romanian evergreens sit alongside jazz standards, pop songs guests will recognise, and Olivia’s own material, with other languages available on request for a booking with international guests. For a wedding or christening, a couple’s chosen song is learned in full ahead of the date, not just sketched out on the day.
Once the venue, date and rough shape of the event are known, our booking team puts together a proposal covering format, running time and any extras like sound and lighting. A short written agreement and a deposit confirm the booking. From there, the remaining details, arrival time, changeover with a DJ or MC, exact repertoire, are settled well ahead of the event itself, so the day runs without last-minute questions.
The group travels to settings such as:
Yes. Bookings across Romania are common, from city venues to countryside and coastal locations. The lineup travels together, and any accommodation needed for an out-of-town date is arranged as part of the proposal.
Solo voice and piano suits a ceremony or a smaller gathering, while a duo or trio carries a longer reception. For a full evening of dancing, a band lineup is the usual choice. Our booking team suggests a format once they know the venue and guest count.
Both, usually. Sets are built across Romanian and English repertoire, with other languages available on request, which suits mixed families and international guests as easily as an all-Romanian crowd.
Send the date, venue and a sense of what you'd like the music to feel like. Our booking team reviews the details and comes back with a clear proposal covering format, timing and repertoire.
For dates outside the immediate area, the client covers travel and accommodation for the booked lineup, and this is set out plainly in the proposal rather than added as a surprise later.
