Olivia Mihet describes herself, on her own artist profile, as a singer-songwriter and a vocal and songwriting coach, teaching sits alongside performing as a core part of her work, not an afterthought. What a lesson covers

Sessions typically move between breathing and technique work, repertoire that the student actually wants to sing, and honest, constructive feedback on what’s working and what needs more attention. For students preparing for something specific, an exam syllabus, a college audition, a wedding first dance, or a showcase, lessons are structured around that deadline, with a clear sense of progress from one session to the next. Breaks between terms or blocks of lessons are built into the schedule so lessons stay sustainable rather than relentless.

What you’ll work on

The material students bring covers a wide range: jazz and soul standards for tone and phrasing work, pop songs students already love, classical and evergreen repertoire for exam syllabuses, and Romanian folk-inspired songs and evergreens for students wanting to connect with that repertoire specifically. Songwriting also comes up naturally in lessons, given Olivia’s own background writing original material, and lessons run comfortably in Romanian or English.

Online from anywhere

Online lessons by video call reach students in any country and time zone, with no real difference in the quality of feedback compared with an in-person session, just a different setup. Where dates allow, in-person sessions can occasionally be arranged around travel.
